Phlebotomy Training In Maine, ME
Phlebotomy training in Maine is offered at the Northeast Technical Institute in both their Scarborough and Bangor campuses. The school is accredited by the Council on Occupational Education and provides intensive phlebotomy training in as little as eight weeks, along with EKG training. However, it also offers flexi-training or part-time training if you still need to work while studying or want to learn at your own pace. The facilities have simulated laboratories to allow students a lot of hands-on training. Kennebec Valley Community College also offers phlebotomy training that will make graduates eligible for the certification exam of the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Registry. Their program includes intensive clinical rotations for 15 days of eight hours and assignments start immediately and are scheduled when there are no classes. KVVC also has other general education courses so you can apply them later to other degree programs. At the end of the program, students must have completed the requirements of 100 successful venipunctures and 25 dermal punctures, to become certified technicians.
