Phlebotomy training in Utah can be completed in 36 hours. That’s if you enrol at Phlebotomy Training Specialists. Nationally accredited, it has three three facilities located in Salt Lake City (Murray), Clearfield and Orem. There are two programs offered: National and Standard, the former running 36 hours long, the latter, just 12. National class is three hours nightly of intensive hands-on experience and mostly geared for healthcare professionals wanting to add to or upgrade their skills and become nationally certified after completing training. The Standard course is 12 hours, good for those wanting to improve their skills or gain some experience for application to medical or nursing school. A certification is also given upon completion of this accelerated training. At the Utah School of Phlebotomy, their six-week program will train you on the basic skills, get the hands-on experience you need and you will be eligible for the national certification exam and will most likely pass it like many of its graduates. Their facilities are in Salt Lake City, Provo and St. George.
